SoundDiet Privacy Policy

Version: v1.1.0Effective date: October 2, 2026

This is the English version of the SoundDiet Privacy Policy (Korean v1.2.0). If the two versions differ, the Korean version prevails.

App information

App name: SoundDiet (사운드다이어트) Developer: ZZARI Google Play Store / App Store: coming soon (links will be added) Contact: contact@zzari.co

Article 1 (Purpose)

This Privacy Policy sets out how ZZARI (developer: Kim Chunchu; the "Company" or "Developer") collects, uses, shares and protects users' personal information in the audio compression app "SoundDiet" (the "App"), distributed through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Article 2 (Personal information processed and how it is collected)

1. Required information

None. The App does not require sign-up, login or any other personally identifying information.

2. File access

The App accesses only the files you select yourself through the system file picker and does not access any other files on your device. The App does not request separate storage permissions. All processing happens on your device; neither your original files nor the results are sent anywhere.

3. Information stored only on your device (never sent to the Company's servers)

  • Compressed result files
  • Compression history (file name, size before and after, reduction rate, output format, date and time — the latest 50 entries)
  • The time the App last asked you to rate it

4. Automatically collected information (ads)

  • Advertising data (Google AdMob): advertising identifier (Android advertising ID; on iOS, the IDFA only if you allow app tracking), device information (model, OS, app version), IP address, ad impressions and clicks
  • Ad consent status: whether users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK and Switzerland consented to personalised ads (Google's consent management tool)

5. Optional information

Your email address, only if you contact us and enter it yourself.

6. How it is collected

  • Automatically through the advertising SDK (Google AdMob) while the App runs
  • When you enter it yourself to contact us

Article 3 (Purposes of processing)

  1. Providing the audio compression feature
  2. Serving ads and measuring their performance
  3. Responding to and following up on your inquiries
  4. Complying with legal obligations

Article 4 (Retention period)

  • The files you process, the results and the compression history are stored only on your device; the Company does not collect or keep them. They are deleted when you delete the App.
  • Advertising data: handled under the service provider's (Google's) policies
  • Inquiry information: deleted within 3 years after the inquiry is handled
  • Where the law requires retention, the period set by that law applies

Article 5 (Disclosure to third parties and outsourcing)

  1. The files you select and the results are stored only on your device and are never transmitted. As a rule, the Company does not provide personal information to third parties without your consent.
  2. To serve ads, the App uses the following outside service, which may process data outside Korea (e.g. in the United States):
  3. Company web server (www.zzari.co): to check for the latest app version, the App downloads only a version information file. This request contains no user information, although the server may keep ordinary access logs such as IP addresses.
  4. Rating requests use the operating system's review feature (Google Play / App Store); the App sends no information to the Company.

Article 5-2 (Ads and opting out of personalised ads)

The App shows Google AdMob ads.

  • Information collected by ad platforms is handled under each platform's privacy policy.
  • On iOS, the App asks whether to allow app tracking the first time you open it. You can use the App without allowing it; in that case the IDFA is not collected.
  • Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland choose whether to consent to personalised ads the first time they open the App, and can change this at any time in Settings → "Ad privacy settings".
  • You can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalised ads in your device settings:
    • Android: Settings → Google → Ads
    • iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

Article 6 (Your rights and how to exercise them)

You can delete the information stored only on your device (such as compression history) by deleting the App or clearing the App's data in your device settings. For any other request to access, correct, delete or stop processing personal information, please contact us at the address below.

Article 7 (Security measures)

  • Administrative: a designated privacy officer and internal policies
  • Technical: all files processed on the device (no transmission), encrypted communication (TLS), minimum permissions
