Terms of Service

This is the English version of the SoundDiet Terms of Service (Korean v1.0.0). If the two versions differ, the Korean version prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of ZZARI (trade name; the "Company") and users in connection with the SoundDiet service (the "Service") provided by the Company.


Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" means the audio compression app "SoundDiet" provided by the Company and its related features.
  2. "User" means anyone who uses the Service under these Terms.
  3. The Service has no sign-up process, and all data you enter is stored only on your device.

Article 3 (Effect and changes of these Terms)

  1. These Terms take effect when posted in the Service (the in-app settings menu or the website).
  2. The Company may change these Terms when necessary to the extent permitted by applicable law, and will give notice of the changes in the same way as paragraph 1.
  3. If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you may stop using and delete the Service (app).

Article 4 (Provision of the Service)

  1. The Company provides audio compression as the Service.
  2. The Service is free of charge, with no in-app purchases or subscription fees.
  3. The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons.
  4. The Company will give advance notice of significant changes through an app update notice or on its website. Urgent security issues may be announced afterwards.

Article 5 (User obligations)

You must not:

  1. Reverse engineer, decompile, extract the source code of, or modify the App
  2. Use the Service with automated programs (macros) or other abnormal methods
  3. Infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties
  4. Copy, distribute or resell the Service for commercial purposes without permission
  5. Act against applicable laws or public order and morals

Article 6 (Intellectual property)

  1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Service (app UI/UX, logo, source code, etc.) belong to the Company.
  2. Rights to data you enter or create in the Service belong to you. That data is stored only on your device and is not separately collected or used by the Company.
  3. You may not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast or otherwise use the Service for commercial purposes, or let third parties do so, without the Company's prior consent.

Article 7 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Company is not responsible for failing to provide the Service due to natural disasters or equivalent force majeure.
  2. Because the Service stores data only on your device, the Company is not responsible for data lost through device loss, reset, app deletion, device change and the like. You are responsible for backing up important data yourself.
  3. The Company is not responsible for service problems caused by the user.

Article 8 (Protection of personal information)

The Company establishes, posts and complies with a separate Privacy Policy to protect users' personal information. See the Privacy Policy for details.


Article 9 (Dispute resolution)

  1. The Company endeavours to reflect legitimate opinions and complaints raised by users and to compensate for any resulting damage.
  2. Lawsuits arising from disputes between the Company and users are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea and shall be filed with the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
