This is the English version of the D-Day Privacy Policy (Korean v1.1.0). If the two versions differ, the Korean version prevails.
App information
App name: D-Day (디데이) Developer: ZZARI Google Play / App Store: coming soon (links to be added) Contact: contact@zzari.co
Article 1 (Purpose)
This Privacy Policy sets out how ZZARI (developer: Chunchu Kim; the "Company" or "Developer") collects, uses, provides and protects personal information in the day counter app "D-Day" (the "App"), distributed through Google Play and the App Store.
Article 2 (Personal information collected and how)
1. Required information
None. The App does not ask for sign-up, login or any other information that identifies you, and it does not request any permissions. The following information is stored only on your device and is never sent outside it:
- Your D-Days: the title, date, whether it repeats every year, and when you added it (including, if the saved data is ever damaged, a copy of the original kept on the device so it can be recovered)
- Display settings: theme and light/dark mode
- Rating prompt condition: the date the rating prompt was last requested
2. Optional information
Your email address, only if you send us an email yourself.
3. How it is collected
Only when you email us yourself.
Article 3 (Purposes of processing)
- Responding to and following up on your inquiries
- Meeting legal obligations
Day counting (days left, days since, and the next yearly occurrence) is done only on your device.
Article 4 (Retention period)
- Your D-Days are stored only on your device and are deleted when you delete them or delete the App. There is no separate retention period on a server.
- Inquiry information: destroyed within 3 years after the inquiry is resolved
- Where the law requires information to be kept, we keep it for the period the law requires
Article 5 (Provision to third parties and outsourcing)
1. Provision and outsourcing
The Company does not provide personal information to third parties or outsource its processing. Your D-Days and display settings are never sent outside your device.
2. When the App communicates externally
The App communicates externally in one case only:
- App version check: when the App starts and on the Settings screen, it requests a public version file on the Company website (https://zzari.co/apps/versions/dday.json) to see whether an update is needed. Your D-Days and display settings are not sent. However, as with any internet request, connection information such as your IP address may be recorded in the website server's access logs.
After you add several D-Days, the store rating prompt provided by your device's operating system (Google Play or the App Store) may appear. If you tap "Rate this app", "Privacy policy" or "Terms of service", the app store or a web browser opens. Information handled there is governed by that service's own policies.
Article 6 (Your rights and how to exercise them)
Because your D-Days are stored only on your device, you can view, edit and delete them yourself in the App. Tap an item to edit or delete it, or delete it from the list by swiping it (or, in some themes, by pressing and holding it). Deleting the App also deletes the information stored on your device. For any other request to access, correct, delete or stop processing personal information, contact us at the address below.
Article 7 (Security measures)
- Administrative: a designated person in charge of personal information protection and internal policies
- Technical: D-Days and display settings stored only on your device (never sent outside it), HTTPS for the version check, and minimal access permissions
